The Defining Point is an event production company located in Atlanta, Georgia. We specialize in full service event planning, incentives, production and creative design. Our team works on projects large and small & domestic and international. Our producers work with you on meeting planning services, hotel sourcing, general session production, graphic design, video production and special event design.
We have the experience, record and resources to handle any size project and scope of work.

Why The Defining Point?
That's a valid question. We are a team of event and entertainment industry veterans; we have worked in corporate and agency environments. We specialize in theater production, creative development, executive presentations, logistics, marketing, and events. We are business people. We understand budgets, projections, timelines, deadlines, people management, logistics, insurance, permits, security, lodging, and so much more. We are strategic. You are investing a considerable amount of money in your events, and it seems to us one of your goals is the kind of growth that makes stakeholders smile. We are also musicians, chefs, travel enthusiasts, entertainers, animal lovers, athletes and philanthropists.
How are we different from other companies in our business?
In many ways we are not. We are creative, adaptable, very experienced, good stewards of your money, and seek excellence in everything we do. These capabilities hardly set us apart. That is, if we were typical. We like to say that everything we do is focused on your audience and your objectives. We start by developing an understanding of your goals, objectives, and becoming a student of your brand. Once we have a clear understanding of the project, we develop a strategy based plan with important milestones.
David DiPuma, Founder & CEO
With more than 15 years in event management, planning and production, David is a seasoned event professional. His trade experience of being a corporate meeting manager and producing events of all types and sizes, including creative development of national communication strategies, provide a unique perspective for clients of The Defining Point. David's past experiences span the gamut from 6,500 person conferences including fully integrated online registration, 150+ supplier exhibitions, and multiple days of full production general sessions. He is also responsible for the design, implementation, strategic development, and execution of logistics for smaller sales, marketing, and incentive based events. In addition, David has managed 100+ yearly national, regional, and state tradeshows with responsibilities including exhibit booth conception, brand placement, sponsorships, and show logistics. He has worked with clients big and small in Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Consumer and Insurance industries to create defining audience moments. David, who actively practices his belief of lifelong learning, holds a Bachelor of Science from Kennesaw State University in Organizational Communications and has a long list of event industry achievements including CMP designation. He was the 2015 chapter president of SITE Southeast and has been presented with multiple awards for his involvement in travel & hospitality associations.
